Mail-In Shipping Instructions

At Crown&Balance, we make nationwide mail-in watch servicing simple, secure, and straightforward. Follow the steps below to safely send your watch for evaluation, repair, or routine service.

Before You Ship

Please include a note inside the package with:

  • Your full name

  • Return shipping address

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • A brief description of the service requested

  • Any known issues (running fast, stopped, crown not winding, crystal damage, etc.)

If your watch has sentimental or historical importance, mention that as well.

How to Pack Your Watch

  1. Do not send the watch in a presentation box or collectible case. Ship the watch only unless we specifically request otherwise.

  2. Wrap the watch securely in soft tissue, bubble wrap, or a small padded pouch.

  3. Place the wrapped watch inside a small inner box or padded container so it cannot move around.

  4. Put that inner package inside a sturdy outer shipping box with additional packing material.

The goal is to prevent movement during transit.

What Not to Include

Unless specifically requested, please do not send:

  • Original boxes or display cases

  • Extra straps or bracelets not related to the service

  • Papers, manuals, or collectibles

  • Loose accessories

Shipping Recommendations

We recommend using a trackable shipping service such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

For higher-value watches, we strongly recommend:

  • Tracking

  • Signature confirmation

  • Insurance based on replacement value

Please keep your tracking number until your package has been received.

After Your Watch Arrives

Once your watch arrives at Albuquerque, we will inspect it and contact you with an evaluation.

A $35 bench fee may apply for inspection and diagnosis. If you approve the repair or service, that fee can typically be applied toward the final work performed.

*No work is started without your approval.

Return Shipping

After service is complete, your watch will be carefully packaged and returned using secure tracked shipping. Return shipping charges may vary depending on insurance value, destination, and service requested.

*If repairs or servicing is denied by the customer all payment for return shipping is the responsibility of the customer and will be added on to the nonrefundable $35 bench fee
